Since you been gone

Since You've Been GoneSince You've Been Gone by Mary Jennifer Payne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Overall this is a quick read, very enjoyable.

Edie Fraser and her mother Sydney have been on the run for 5 years. Ever since her father lost it and hit her. All Sydney wants is a fresh start and to live a normal life. Edie on the other hand hates being plucked out of a town she just gets comfortable in. It seems like every time she makes friends she has to leave without telling anyone. This last move was the last straw. Not being able to take her cat was enough.

Then one morning Edie’s mother does not return home from work. They have a rule. If one of them is going to be late for any reason they must contact each other. No note, No phone call nothing. Edie knows something bad has happened to her mother. Now she must take matters in her own hands and find her mother.

“Alone in a strange country, Edie is afraid to call the police for fear that she ll be sent back to her abusive father. Determined to find her mother, but with no idea where to start, she must now face the most difficult decision of her life”

Very good you will not be disappointed!
