Run for Your Life by James Patterson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is the second book in the Michael Bennett series.
in the middle of a hostage negotiation as he struggles to resolve the situation before it goes tactical, that is, to SWAT to resolve.
Shortly thereafter we're thrust into the machinations of a mysterious character who seems to have a hatred for many inhabitants of New York, the rude, the self involved, the selfish - shortly therein he commences a plan, a plan of killing said people. Initially it seems random but as Bennett investigates the motivations and meaning behind the killings becomes more clear.
All the while Bennett has his ten kids we met in the prior novel, only this time round rather than introductions we find they've been struck down with a 'flu that's passing around the city, enter ten projectile vomiting children. ( Having 5 children of myself, i wanted to laugh and cry at this part of the story) As a parent we all know how it feels to be up to our ears in vomit from the flu.... not a fun time especially when you are trying to catch a killer.
