I would like to note that I did not read the other books in the series and read this book like a stand alone.
Homicide detective Valerie Hart is back with another tale filled with dead bodies, twists and an ending I did not expect. Homicide Detective Valerie Hart investigates the brutal murder of Adam Grant, a San Francisco prosecutor, and the attempted murder of his wife, during a home invasion. Because of the victim’s profession, an ex-con is a suspected and the search is on for him and a woman known to him. This book was a little hard to get through but defiantly well-worth the time.
