Review: The Color of Lies

The Color of Lies The Color of Lies by C.J. Lyons
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ella's parents died in a fire and she's believed that her whole life, until the charismatic yet shy, Alec comes into town blowing up her entire world.

Ella’s family has a condition called synesthesia, which means she can read your auras, based on how your feeling. Her mother had it (her ability was to see when people where cheating/lying, which made her insurance business boom). Her grandmothers ability had to do with voice tones.

The story is spent one 2 points of views, Ella’s and Alec.

Through out the book they try and figure out who killed Ella’s parents and why Alec is so interested in Ella and her family.

It was a very interesting mystery and took a very long time to get the “thriller” of the book which comes at a severe plot twist at the end.

All and all it was a pretty good read.

Stick with it, the ending was worth the read.
