When I saw the book cover I knew this book was going to be interesting. When I did some digging and research and found out what this book was about I KNEW I HAD to read this book.

I am that person that loves to read about horrible things. Murder, Death, Rape, you name it, it interests me. So a book about a school shooting…. YES PLEASE.

It was very hard at first to follow along with the book. The book switches between point of views of about 5 different people. I felt myself at first thinking, which one is this on again and did find myself getting mad. I was going to give it a 3 star just because of that, but like most books it gets better as you read.

Writing was fantastic and there were points in the book were I actually felt scared and right there with these students. How helpless there were and how angry the shooter was just shows how desperate mental health in teenagers need to be addressed.

The shooting lasted 54 minutes. In 54 minutes a whole town was changed forever. There were many deaths and lots of injuries. We found out who our real hero’s are and what people will do in desperate times to save the ones they love, even if it means sacrificing yourself.

Cant really say much more about the book without giving away the book. A MUST READ. Get your tissues out and pour yourself a nice cup of coffee. You will not be disappointed.

Hug your brothers, sisters, mother, father, loved ones a little bit longer before you leave, because you never know if something like this is going to happen where you are. Don’t take life for granted.
