BOOK REVIEW: The sister pact

The Sister PactThe Sister Pact by Stacie Ramey
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I was very intrigued when I read the blurb for this book. I myself have a twin sister who is my best friend in the whole world and I could not imagine my life without her, let alone find out that she has taken her own life…..

So this story is about Allie, a high school junior who just found out that her best friend, and sister, committed suicide. She is slowly starting to get her life back to normal since the incident and just doesn’t know how to live her life.

Allie gets into drugs, and we learn that her and her sister had made a pact that if they were going to end it all they would have done it together. SO now Allie feels betrayed that her sister decided to kill herself alone.

Who do you turn to when the person you once depended on decides to leave? Left sister-less, friend-less, and emotion-less, Allie must figure this out on her own if she ultimately wishes to find happiness

This is a good topic for high schoolers to read about but I just felt like I could not connect with the book.

It was just a typical young adult book with the same old same old.
