BOOK REVIEW: Jailhouse Doc

Jailhouse Doc: A Doctor in the County JailJailhouse Doc: A Doctor in the County Jail by William Wright
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

When I saw this book I knew I had to read it. Since I work at a federal Prison I can soooo relate to this book. I know what he is going through and have seen and heard the same stories he has heard. It is true they will use ever excuse in the book to get some sort of pain pill. As for the problem “children” inmate who get bounced around from prison to prison because they don’t behave and are acting out, a lot of them are just over medicated and treated for stuff they don’t have so the staff don’t have to deal with them and they just sleep all day.

For anyone who is actually wondering what it is like in prison and what prison doctors go through, this is defiantly a must read.
A quick page turner that you could finish in one sitting.

You will read about some situations the doctor has encountered with prisoners and how he dealt with it.
